South Dakotans have experienced hard times before. They lived it. They endured it. They wrote about it. Author Craig Volk offers a new book inspired by those hard times. "A Dust Bowl Book of Days, 1932" is published by the South Dakota Historical Society Press. He was born and raised in Mitchell and received undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Dakota. His MFA is in playwriting and screenwriting from the Yale School of Drama. He joins us to talk about the book and the women who inspired it.
