The state of the South Dakota Democratic party was among the issues discussed by the Dakota Political Junkies. Democrats held their state convention this past weekend in Yankton and failed to find candidates for three offices: attorney general, state auditor or public lands commissioner.
This means Republican candidates Marty Jackley, Stave Barnett and Ryan Brunner win by default. Longtime South Dakota journalist and reporter for KELO-TV, Kevin Woster, and Watertown Public Opinion managing editor Roger Whittle joined the discussion this week.
