Topics include the farm bill. House Speaker John Boehner says the current bill should be extended while House and Senate conferees seek a compromise. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says the Senate won’t extend the bill. We’ll also discuss the passage by the U.S. House of a bill that would preserve the Hot Springs VA hospital and State Representative Steve Hickey’s announcement that he’ll ask the 2014 legislature to repeal capital punishment. He previously supported the death penalty.
