Congresswoman Kristi Noem Addresses Latest Sex-Trafficking Bills

South Dakota Congresswoman Kristi Noem says the U.S. House of Representatives passed five bills on May 20th that deal with sex-trafficking.

Noem says those five bills are the most comprehensive series of anti-trafficking addressed by the House in the last decade.

“These bills will offer more resources to survivors, they’ll give prosecutors more tools to go after traffickers and buyers. They’ll also put policies in place that law-makers hope will better prevent trafficking,” says Noem.

Noem says there are currently companion bills in the Senate. She says with the bipartisan support, she hopes the legislation will arrive on the President’s desk quickly.
