Cloud Cult started 20 years ago as a studio project of Craig Minowa. In 1999, Craig and Connie Minowa formed Earthology, which created the first 100% postconsumer CD packaging in the U.S. market. Though the band has received several offers from record labels, Cloud Cult has always done things their own way in order to maintain control over their art, publishing, environmental efforts and business practices. Minowa's secluded north-Minnesota organic farm has provided studio space for Cloud Cult's nine studio releases while they have grown from college radio airplay into a major indie success. Cloud Cult performed at the 605 Summer Classic in Sioux Falls on June 19, 2015.
