In The Moment ... March 31, 2020 Show 785 Hour 2
Coronavirus has upended all our lives. This hour, we highlight what's happened in the world of sports, as leagues have shut down, tournaments have been postponed, and athletes' careers upended. But first, some good news. This morning our first guest was honored with the inaugural "Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year award" by Her Hoop Stats. That's an organization that highlights the top women's basketball players in the nation. Ciara Duffy is one of the best South Dakota women's basketball players in history. Duffy grew up playing for St. Thomas More in Rapid City and then played collegiately at the University of South Dakota. USD was on the way to the NCAA women's basketball tournament when COVID-19 interrupted the journey.
