Grete Bodøgaard moved from Norway to South Dakota in 1969 and has created and taught textile art. She has also built a cadre of loyal friends. Now Bodøgaard is in hospice care in Rapid City, and some of her friends pulled together a retrospective in celebration of her works for a show at the Dahl Arts Center.
As Bodøgaard’s son and husband tell SDPB’s Victoria Wicks, these friendships, as well as her art, are her legacy.
