This interview originally aired on "In the Moment" on SDPB Radio.

After the attack on Israel by Hamas militants on October 7, 2023, Israel retaliated and scrambled to prevent future attacks.

More than 1,000 Israelis were killed in the initial assault; hundreds more were taken hostage. The death toll in Gaza is reportedly more than 37,000 Palestinians. Meanwhile, an intense "conflict about the conflict" broiled on U.S. college campuses.

A new PBS FRONTLINE and Retro Report documentary "Crisis on Campus" investigates the context and nuances of the protests. We learn more from director James Jacoby.

"Crisis on Campus" premieres Tuesday night.
