Lawmakers debate the role of counties in regulating pipelines

Summit Carbon Solutions is preparing to try again after its pipeline project fell through last year. Ahead of that project, lawmakers are seeking to find a compromise between companies and landowners.

Senate Bill 201 would be that compromise. The bill has been amended many times, and now its fate sits in the hands of a conference committee.
