Braver Angels events seek to depolarize

The McGovern Center at Dakota Wesleyan University and Braver Angels are holding a series of fall events to bring people of opposing political views together.

The focus of these events is on sharing different perspectives instead of changing minds.

Joel Allen, Ph.D., is a professor of religion and philosophy at Dakota Wesleyan University. He's also the director of the McGovern Center. Aletheia Underhile is a DWU student and a member of Braver Angels.

The next Braver Angels event is on Monday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m., Central Time, at Dakota Wesleyan University. The topic is "How Can We Best Revive Our Dying Lake." It will also be livestreamed at

On Oct. 30, Braver Angels will bring Rich Logis, founder of Perfect Our Union, to Dakota Wesleyan University.
