This interview originally aired on In the Moment on SDPB Radio.

Farmers Union groups gathered in Washington, D.C., to meet with lawmakers and discuss the political issues impacting farmers and ranchers across the country. The main focus of the three-day visit was the 2023 Farm Bill.

Wayne Soren is vice president of the South Dakota Farmers Union and a crop and cattle farmer from Lake Preston.

He joined In the Moment to recap the visit and his disappointment about a lack of urgency related to the Farm Bill.
