Roughly 20% of South Dakota  voters turned out for Tuesday’s primary.

Incumbent Dennis Daugaard easily beat out challenger Lora Hubbel for the GOP nomination in the governor’s race.    He will face Susan Wismer in November.  She beat Joe Lowe to win the Democratic nomination for governor.

Mike Rounds also easily won the five way race for the Republican U.S. Senate nomination.
