On today's update...

There are currently two lawsuits related to the abortion ballot question on the November ballot. The group backing the ballot is asking a federal to uphold the court's injunction against a residency law for petition circulators. In a separate suit, Life Defense fund is asking the courts to toss out petition sheets they say is out of compliance with a different law not currently on the books.

The state's Office of Emergency Management wants people and businesses to report any flood damage they've experienced. The office will use the data to seek disaster declarations for individuals and businesses.

The Attorney General's office warns of an increase in scams, following the historic flooding in southeastern South Dakota. These scams involve charity appeals and fraudulent home repairs.

Hacking, fraud, and data breaches are all serious considerations in the twenty-first century. Now, South Dakota's cyver leaders want to work under one roof to make their defenses stronger.
