Rapid City police are investigating a homicide they say took place during a public summer gathering. A teenage victim was shot near Memorial Park downtown following a "Summer Nights" concert.

The group backing a ballot question to enshrine abortion rights into the state constitution is tabbing a former lawmaker to lead its campaign. Dakotans for Health named Nancy Turbak Berry chair of what it's calling the "Freedom Amendment Coalition."

The South Dakota Supreme Court reverses a case where the state Department of Labor ordered a woman to repay pandemic unemployment assistance she received. Melissa Palmer applied for unemployment assistance and the Department of Labor approved her application.

With summer underway, programs are available to ensure South Dakota's students aren't missing out on important meals. These programs are always looking for more support though.

The Dakota Scout is the new official paper for the City of Sioux Falls' public notices. State law requires local governments to publish certain legal proceedings and announcements.

The America 250 South Dakota Executive Commission is looking for ways to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of our country. A national council has been established to encourage all states and territories to participate in celebrating.
