The governor continues to tour the state after the conclusion of the legislative session. Her most recent stop — Mobridge.

The early spring snow should help with expanding drought conditions across South Dakota. The latest monitor shows nearly two-thirds of the state as abnormally dry and another ten percent under moderate drought.

The American Legion in Pierre is hosting the company building a new U.S. Navy combat ship names after the state's capital. The company—Austal USA—will deliver presentations Tuesday at noon on the commissioning process.

Students of all ages convene next month in Sioux Falls for the South Dakota Scholastic Chess Championship. Elliott Neff, National Master and CEO of Chess4Life, hosts the tournament at the Convention Center Apr. 6, 2024.
