On today's update...

A legislative committee is advancing a ill aiming to help people understand South Dakota's abortion laws. House Bill 1224 requires the state to create an informational video and other materials explaining the state's abortion restrictions.

The state House rejected a bill that would allow victims of "stealthing" to pursue civil action against their perpetrators. "Stealthing" is when a partner removes a condom without the consent of the other partner during or before sex.

The South Dakota Legislature is once again fully staffed. Governor Kristi Noem filled the last vacancy Monday by appointing Mike Walsh to District 35's open Senate seat.

A legislative committee killed a bill that would have extended the time employers must give workers to vote on election day. Currently, state law gives all employees in the state two hours to vote.

And more.
