On today's update...

January is National Poverty in America Awareness Month. According to the U.S. Census, South Dakota's poverty rate is 12.5 percent. That's close to the national average.

Water and sewer fees in Aberdeen are going to keep on rising. It's unclear precisely how much, but the hike is something residents are going to notice over the next few years.

The Mitchell City Council votes to offer a tax grant incentive program for retail business. This is in hopes to attract an unnamed retail business to the city.
