Federal legislators set the majority of legal framework for agriculture and food policy every five years by adjusting the Farm Bill. The 2023 Farm Bill has been delayed and South Dakota farmers have concerns.

A recent meeting of the Meade County Board of Commissioners tabled a grant that could provide lifesaving law enforcement training. While the grant is by no means dead, advocates say the crisis intervention training could be a game changer in difficult situations.

The Governor's Office of Economic Development announced the communities slated to receive child care investments. In total, 28 grants are going out to communities and organizations across the state.

U.S Senator John Thune says he's reevaluating who he supports for the Republican party's nominee for president. That comes after U.S. Senator Tim Scott dropped out the race earlier this month.
