A day center for houseless people in Rapid City says it's closing its doors in December after operating for a dozen years. The announcement comes a month after the Rapid City Common Council denied the organization permit to move the center from downtown to another location.

Several people are hospitalized following a house explosion in southeast South Dakota. It happened Wednesday morning a few miles south of Humboldt.
