Two adults connected to the Mitchell Legion Baseball team now face charges in Pennington County for failure to report crimes. The state alleges Luke Norden and Jeremy Borgan, board members of the Mitchell Baseball Association, had knowledge of crimes that went unreported to law enforcement.

An inmate at the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls has died. Arvel Fields died Sunday, according to the Department of Corrections.

A man is facing charges after authorities say he tried robbing a Sioux Falls bank. Police say the 39-year-old suspect walked into a bank Tuesday morning and presented a note to the cashier saying this was a robbery.
