Donations from political action committees, or PACs, have risen significantly during American campaign seasons over the last decade. They're playing a role in South Dakota's elections, including the race for mayor in Rapid City.

Governor Kristi Noem is requesting a Presidential Disaster Declaration for several counties hit by spring flooding. The request applies to 10 counties in northeastern South Dakota as well as the Lake Traverse Indian Reservation.
