On today's update...

South Dakota is leaving millions of federal dollars to reduce greenhouse gas emissions on the table. It's on of four that won't access the money funded by the Inflation Reduction Act.

Sanford Health and Fairview Health, two hospital systems in the middle of a long sought-after merger effort, once again have announced a delay in the process. According to a joint statement, they're pushing back the closing date until after May 31, 2023, following a request from the Minnesota Attorney General's office.

The executive director of the South Dakota Board of Regents is leaving for a new role. Brian Maher will become Nebraska's Commissioner of Education.

The Environmental Protection Agency is awarding South Dakota more than $3.6 million for water infrastructure projects. The money comes from the Biden Administration's Clean Water State Revolving Fund.

And more.
