On today's update...

South Dakota U.S. Senator Mike Rounds says he's waiting on a report to see if federal regulators responded correctly to the collapse of two medium-sized banks earlier this month. That comes after a Senate Banking Committee hearing where Senators grilled federal regulators about their handling of the fallout.

The Board of Regents has approved the first reading of a new policy for minors on college campuses in the state. The policy, still in a draft form, calls for additional guardrails to be put in place.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is planning 17 sobriety checks across the state during April. Authorities say the checkpoints are designed to encourage sober driving.

The Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR) announces more than $90 million of funding for water projects across the state. The Board of Water and Natural Resources approved grants and loan funding for 23 counties.

And more.
