The Small Business Administration says the deadline to apply for disaster loans for several counties in southeast South Dakota is looming. The loans are available to small, nonfarm businesses that are impacted by drought.

The USDA Forest Service is investing more than $1.5 million in communities impacted by wildfires. Mission, South Dakota is among the communities selected to receive federal grant funds in the first round of the Wildfire Defense Planning Project.

The dream of a cozy home on your own plot of land is the goal of many families. In Pukwana, South Dakota, owning that land has become much easier.

While plenty of us are tired of the snow by now, outdoors enthusiasts are still trying to get the most out of their winter. As a result of the weather, they've had plenty of opportunities this year.

As we start to welcome warmer weather, the City of Sioux Falls' Public Works department is gearing up for the upcoming street construction season.
