A group of election reformers are hoping to place a ballot question in 2024 that opens up the primary election to all voters. Currently, the Republican primary election is open to only registered Republicans.

$3 million will be spread across seventeen South Dakota school districts to provide infrastructure for teaching students trades. The Career and Technical Education Innovative Equipment Grants are a chance to modernize trade classrooms.

A water conservation advocate says the Big Sioux River will play a bigger role in the future of Sioux Falls’ water supply. Most of Sioux Falls’ water currently comes from the Big Sioux underground aquifer and the Lewis and Clark Rural Water System.
