South Dakota health systems and physicians are hesitant to help patients obtain medical cannabis, and that’s sent some people to so-called “card clinics” for help.

Both of South Dakota’s U.S. Senators voted against a Democratic led effort on climate, health care and corporate taxes. The legislation is known as the Inflation Reduction Act. Half of the roughly 700-billion-dollar package includes tax credits for electric vehicles and renewable energy programs.

The Fish Fire south of Sundance, Wyoming, was 98% contained as of this morning. The Wyoming State Type 3 Incident Management Team took control of containing the blaze, which burned in some Wyoming portions of the Black Hills National Forest.

Another person has died in a traffic crash associated with the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. It’s the second death so far during the 10-day event, which started Friday.

Governor Kristi Noem ordered flags be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol from sunrise until sunset today, It’s in honor of 5th Circuit Court Presiding Judge Jon Flemmer of Webster.
