A longtime, legendary Lakota newsman has died. Tim Giago, most recently of Native Sun News, passed away on Sunday morning.

The national Episcopal Church wants to research the history of its Native American boarding schools – including some in South Dakota. The move comes amid a broader national awakening about the issue.

South Dakota is experiencing a spike in syphilis cases, and the state is expanding testing and treatment.

Several groups are partnering to create more affordable housing in Baltic. The groups are the Baltic Area Development Foundation, the Sioux Metro Growth Alliance, and Habitat for Humanity.
