Gov. Kristi Noem has signed a bill that makes Juneteenth an official state holiday in South Dakota. South Dakota was the last state to make June 19 a legal holiday.

Last month the Federal Government announced plans to give free at-home rapid COVID tests to households across the country. The logistics of obtaining those tests are proving difficult for tribal communities in South Dakota.

South Dakota will have a candidate for national office in the National Farmers Union. Jeff Kippley is a crop and cattle farmer from Aberdeen.
