Governor Kristi Noem hopes the Supreme Court will overturn Roe versus Wade, but she’s introduced two bills to further restrict abortion in the meantime.

A legislative committee will hear a bill next week proposing funding for a campground expansion in Custer State Park. Some lawmakers say they’re flooded with emails about the proposal.

Senators are making quick work of several medical-marijuana bills. The full Senate is passing along a handful of bills to the House. Those bills come from an interim study committee that focused on the medical-marijuana program voters approved in 2020.

The South Dakota Republican party is bringing in a new executive director for the 2022 election cycle. Terin Lucero is a former political director for the Republican Party of Virginia and Deputy Director for Data Analytics for the gubernatorial campaign of Glenn Youngkin.
