The 1987 Deadwood fire prompted the people of South Dakota to change the state's constitution to allow certain kinds of gaming in Deadwood. But the revenue from the gaming needed to support Deadwood's historic preservation. Those funds began to be used in the mid-1990s and since Kevin arrived in 2006, he has overseen the process to restore Deadwood's historic buildings. What costs the most? You may be surprised.
