History 605 S 3 Ep 9: The Old Courthouse and Pettigrew Museums with Director Bill Hoskins.

What kind of history does Minnehaha County have and how did the Sioux Falls community come to host the county museum in this magnificent courthouse? Through the work of Richard Pettigrew, one of the founders of Sioux Falls and one of the state's first Senators, as well as others in the 1970s and 80s, the county has come to have not only these buildings, but a fascinating collection. We chatted with Bill Hoskins to learn about the country's artifacts and how a random stop during a family outing has inspired his historical understanding to keep people's stories alive.
