New music from boygenius, Jethro Tull & Caroline Polachek

There's new music to hear from boygenius, Jethro Tull and Caroline Polachek.

On today’s Fresh Tracks, Sturgis native David Hersrud brings his years in the music industry and lifelong interest in discovering new music to a discussion with Larry Rohrer.

boygenius: "The Record"
boygenius was formed in 2018 by three multi-talented women: Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus. The supergroup is a mashup of each of their distinct musical styles.

The new boygenius album was released at the end of March.

Jethro Tull: "RökFlöte"
RökFlöte is Jethro Tull's 23rd studio album. The band formed in 1967 and released their first album the following year. Since then, they've sold 60 million albums worldwide.

The band plays over 100 concerts a year. Since they're still such a major concert draw, it's a mystery as to why the band isn't in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame yet.

Caroline Polachek: "Desire, I Want to Turn Into You"
Caroline Polachek is a triple threat: A singer, producer and songwriter. "Desire, I Want to Turn Into You" is her seventh album and is already one of the highest-rated albums of the year so far.

She also co-wrote and co-produced the song “No Angel” for Beyoncé.

Larry, although retired as Assistant General Manager for SDPB, continues to write, host, and do media production and voice work for SDPB.
