South Dakota’s average gas price continues to drop, according to the most recent data from GasBuddy.
Prices in state average $3.20 per gallon. That’s down about 4 cents from last week, 12 cents from last month, and over 18 cents lower than a year ago.
For those traveling out of state during the long Memorial Day weekend, the average price nationally is sitting at $3.55 per gallon.
GasBuddy analysts are forecasting lower prices to continue for the next several weeks.
Meantime, AAA is expecting a busy travel weekend, predicting nearly 154,000 South Dakotans will hit the road for Memorial Day.
