911 emergency services are back online in South Dakota after a widespread outage across the state.

The Department of Public Safety said the service went down Wednesday evening for several hours. It went back online around 11 p.m. CT, 10 p.m. MT.

Similar outages were reported in Texas, Nebraska and Nevada. Officials in each impacted area say service is now back online.

It’s still unclear what caused the outages. Authorities say they’re investigating the issue.
