The city of Mitchell wants to help residents with spring cleaning goals the week of April 15, 2024.
Residents can place oversized items curbside to get collected during normal garbage collection time. Collection of oversized items will cost an additional $10.00 fee.
Certain oversized items, like yard waste, batteries, and tires will not be collected.
The city landfill will also permit pickup sized loads to be dumped free of charge. They'll extend their hours until 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday, and remain open until 5 p.m. on April 13 and April 20.
