Three people were hurt in a construction accident at Sanford Health’s main campus in Sioux Falls.
A section of scaffolding collapsed Thursday afternoon between the surgical tower and the children’s hospital, according to a statement from Sanford.
Three construction workers were taken to the emergency room for treatment. Their conditions have not been released.
"Our thoughts are with those who were impacted by this incident, and we want to express our gratitude to local emergency officials for responding quickly and efficiently to the site," Sanford's statement said.
It’s still unclear what caused the collapse.
