Police say a Sioux Falls officer has shot and killed a man who they say stabbed three people. At 7:30 Thursday morning, two adults and a juvenile arrived at a hospital with stab wounds. Police say the victims were known to the suspect.
Police then quickly responded to a residence where the alleged stabber was located.
Sam Clemens is the spokesperson for the Sioux Falls Police Department.
“They negotiated for quite a while was probably just over an hour and at that point in time the suspect that was still armed charged or confronted the officers there was a shot that was fired and the suspect ended up dying on scene,” he said.
The state Department of Criminal Investigation has been called in to investigate.
