In The Moment ... June 18, 2019 Show 598 Hour 1
In 1845, two ships and 129 men left Greenland with the hope of locating the Northwest Passage. They never returned and were lost to human history and to science.
Within the last few years, thanks to modern science, technology, and exploration, the two ships have been found.
John Dreyer, associate professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology presents Into the Frozen Abyss: The Franklin Expedition of 1845 at tonight's STEAM Cafe. It's 6:00 p.m. at Hay Camp Brewing Company in Rapid City.
