Rod Bowar: 2018 South Dakota Hall Of Fame Inductee

In The Moment ... August 30, 2018 Show 412 Hour 2

He was the kid who started working at the phone company and ended up running the show. He did it without the benefit of education or technical education. Hard work and grit helped Rod Bower find his way and change how South Dakotans connect with each other.

Rod serves the telecom industry on the boards of SDN Communications and the South Dakota Telecommunications Association. He's the major owner of Kennebec Telephone Company.

Now he's a 2018 inductee into the South Dakota Hall of Fame.

The Honors Ceremony is going to be held in Chamberlain/Oacoma, SD on September 7 and 8 and is open to the public. 

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased on the Hall of Fame website at sdexcellence.org or by calling the Hall at 605-234-4216.
