In The Moment ... Dakota Political Junkies On Cordial Campaigning

In The Moment ... March 15, 2017 Show 050 Hour 2

The Dakota Political Junkies are a panel of some of  the top political journalists in the state. Today Denise Ross and Jon Hunter join us to explore the recently announced candidacy of current SD Secretary of State Shantel Krebs (she's running against Dusty Johnson for U.S. Representative Krist Noem's seat in the House). We'll also dig in to how to prevent scandals in state government and whether or not new legislation truly addresses the will of the voters.

Taylor Calmus

Taylor Calmus graduated from the University of Sioux Falls and now lives and works in Los Angeles. He's an actor, a comedian, and an entrepreneur who recently crafted a coffee table shaped like an enormous cassette tape. (It was featured in "Architectural Digest.") Taylor joins us to talk about bringing his personal brand of humor to viewers online as well as the creative lessons he learned at the University of South Dakota that he lives by today.

Jason Elmore

Musician Jason Elmore joins us from the road between Nebraska and South Dakota as he makes his way to Rapid City for the Black Hills Blues Society's March Madness. He plays with Jason Elmore & Hoodoo Witch, but he brings a solo acoustic set to the state. We're also joined by Deb Lux of the Black Hills Blues Society.
