Minimum Wage Hike Debate Heats Up

In November South Dakota residents get to vote on the idea of raising the minimum wage to $8.50 per hour with a yearly increase tied to inflation thereafter.

The state legislature in Minnesota just bumped the minimum wage there to $9.50 per hour by 2016.  That wage will also increase annually.

As the November election inches closer, the debate over raising the minimum wage is on in South Dakota.
