The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra's 2023-24 season will be Maestro Delta David Gier's 20th year as its music director.
He joins In the Moment to discuss bridging cultures, playing contemporary and traditional music off each other and, of course, Beethoven.
The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra will perform Beethoven's Fifth Symphony on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls.
There will be a pre-show talk with Maestro Gier and special guest Zach Van Harris Jr., the curator of the South Dakota African American History Museum. The pre-show talk starts at 6:30 p.m.
