Gary Mule Deer to be inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame

C.J. Keene

This interview originally aired on In the Moment on SDPB Radio.

Gary Mule Deer started his music and comedy career by accident when he recited his first joke in Deadwood, South Dakota. Now, he's a well-known musician and comedian.

This year, he's being recognized with an induction into the South Dakota Hall of Fame.

Since the start of his career, Mule Deer's talents have extended from acting to being a judge on "The Gong Show." He became the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry in March.

Mule Deer lives by the motto "don't say anything unless it's funny." He shares his love of using comedy to bridge the gap between generations with Lori Walsh.
