South Dakota Symphony Orchestra to perform Mozart's 'Requiem'

This interview originally aired on In the Moment on SDPB Radio.

The brilliant composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart died before he could finish his final masterpiece. His "Requiem" carries a complex, mysterious history, but the real story is the music itself.

This weekend, the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra will perform the requiem mass at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls. Maestro Delta David Gier and soprano Hannah Lu join In the Moment to discuss the piece and the story and emotions behind it.
