Trumpeter Alex Massa embarks on South Dakota tour

Alex Massa is a South Dakota-born trumpeter. Over the last 12 years, he has resided in New Orleans, Winnipeg, Chicago, and Iceland and performed all over the world. Massa has had a varied career performing straight-ahead jazz to modern classical, film-scoring to the avant-garde.

In 2020, Alex moved back to his hometown of Rapid City. He has has a number of gigs coming up in the Black Hills area in April. He is also preparing for a mini-South Dakota tour in May including stops in Lemmon, Aberdeen and Sioux Falls. You can find a schedule on hiswebsite.
