Few student athletes have the time nor the talent to dip into other worthwhile projects. However, there's one student at the University of South Dakota that's enjoying as much success as a performer and vocalist as he is in his sport.
Eldon Warner, a senior from Council Bluffs, Iowa, was recently named the Summit League Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Year.
But Warner has more on his plate - like playing the character of Gabriel von Eisenstein in "Die Fledermaus" or taking on the role of John Sorel in "The Consul," a vastly darker opera about post-war Europe.
Warner is also a musician - writing his own music!
