A couple of major festivals are just around the corner. The 605 Summer Classic is June 23-24 in Sioux Falls and the Sioux River Folk Festival takes place August 4-6 at Newton Hills State Park.

Hippo Campus of St. Paul, Minnesota, played at the last 605 Summer Classic. The St. Paul, Minnesota, band, in their short existence, has played South by Southwest, Red Rocks and at UK festivals in Reading and Leeds. Hippo Campus has just released their first full-length recording, "Landmark."
Tyler David appears during the second half of this program. David won last year's Folk Off at Strawbale Winery in Renner. It sent him to the stage at the 37th annual Sioux River Folk Festival. The Canton native has already recorded in Nashville.
