Frank Fairfield & Meredith Axelrod

www.roadwarrioragency.net

Frank Fairfield and Meredith Axelrod take listeners to a time before the microphone.  Fairfield hails from California's San Joaquin Valley.  He plays the fiddle, guitar and banjo, and his old timey vocals flow with culture and nostalgia.

Meredith Axelrod is the perfect partner on stage.  Her passion for early jazz and pre-1930s American music was fueled by the original cylinders and 78-rpm recordings she sang along with as a youngster.  Also a multi-instrumentalist, Axelrod performs in a myriad of musical partnerships from her hot jazz band to Jim Kweskin's jug band.

Fairfield and Axelrod opened for Jerron "Blind Boy" Paxton at the Orpheum Theater in Sioux Falls on March 11.  They were presented by the Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues Society.
