There is a new number one in Boys Class B in this week's South Dakota Prep Media Basketball Polls.

Maȟpíya Lúta, formerly known as Red Cloud, is drawing attention again this season with the success of their girls' basketball team. Not only are they undefeated at 11-0, and currently ranked No. 2 in the ‘A’ girls' media preps poll, but they’re also receiving first place votes.

SDPB’s Jackson Dircks sat down with SDPB Sports and Rec Reporter Nate Wek to talk about the Burckhard sisters - two very well-known women in the South Dakota women's basketball sphere currently coaching and playing for Aberdeen Central.

He never won a state wrestling title in South Dakota but later became a national wrestling champ and wound up being an Olympic bronze medalist in the '88 Seoul Olympics and a silver medalist in the '92 Barcelona Olympics. Dennis Koslowski joins Craig Mattick on this edition of In Play.
