This interview originally aired on In the Moment on SDPB Radio.

Prostate cancer is about as common in men as breast cancer is in women. It's typically thought of as a less aggressive cancer, but some cases can be serious.

Daniel Petereit, M.D., is a radiation oncologist with Monument Health and a specialist in brachytherapy. Brachytherapy treats prostate cancer with surgically embedded radioactive "seeds."

He discusses who should get screened and what treatments may be available to patients.
